WHAT WE DO
Two Denarii operates community development programs to employ and support low-income and impoverished groups.
Our mobile thrift store program recycles used shuttle busses and turns them into mobile thrift stores to employ homeless or formerly homeless individuals in low-income areas.
Two Denarii is a branch of Humanity Reboxed, fulfilling the Humanity Reboxed mission of 'intervening on the cycle of poverty through community development.'

why we exist
Two Denarii exists to empower people living in poverty to accomplish their goals using their own personal skills and passions.
What Does Two Denarii Mean?
The name Two Denarii is from the story of The Good Samaritan, found in Luke 10. In this story, a man is robbed, beaten, and left on the side of the road to die. Two men who were respected within the man’s community ignored him and continued on their way. Instead of passing him by, the Good Samaritan tends to his wounds and takes him to the closest inn. He then pays the inn keeper two denarii as a down payment for the injured man’s lodging and care. Not only does he pay for the injured man’s lodging and care, but he also promises to reimburse the innkeeper for any extra expenses when he returns. When no one else had compassion on the injured man, the Good Samaritan cared for the man enough to give the man his time and money.
The Two Denarii in this story is simply money; however, to us it represents the commitment to acknowledge and assist a person in need. We are committed to do our best to love and support our neighbors.
